Yazmin Alfonso is a connector, strategist, and changemaker who knows how to get things done. With over a decade of experience in advocacy, nonprofit leadership, and consulting, Yazmin has built her career on creating partnerships that leave a lasting impact.


Currently serving as Associate State Director for Outreach and Engagement at AARP, Yazmin leads programs and campaigns designed to empower communities and drive meaningful change. Her expertise spans event planning, grassroots organizing, and strategic development, making her the perfect fit for BECC’s mission.


Yazmin is all about action. At BECC, she’s leveraging her experience to forge partnerships that amplify the Council’s impact and create real opportunities for Osceola County’s Black community. She’s not just about connecting the dots—she’s building the whole picture.
