Dr. Matthew Quainoo
Sr. Pastor, Solid Rock Community Church
Pillar of Spiritual Leadership and Historical Legacy
Matthew Aaron Quainoo (Ph.D., Howard University) loves God and loves people. While he is a third-generation preacher, Matt does not believe that God has any grandchildren. It was the perfectly imperfect example of his parents, Bishop Joseph and Dr. Vanessa Quainoo, two hard-working, bi-vocational pastors that inspired Matt to make a decision to follow the sun-baked, Palestinian-Immigrant Jew, Jesus, the Christ, as his Lord and Savior.
Inspired by pioneering American scholars and public servants like W.E.B. Dubois, Mary McLeod Bethune, and Martin Luther King Jr., Matt would go on to complete his Bachelor’s degree from the University of Rhode Island, his Master’s degree from Princeton Theological Seminary, and he just recently earned a PhD from Howard University. In pursuit of bridging head, heart, and hands, Matt served at several local churches across the nation: COGIC For All Saints, Impact Church (UMC), and Celebration Church (under his ministry mentor Bishop Robbie Davis, Jr.). His greatest Joys are his beautiful wife, Rhesa, & their handsome and brilliant sons, Matt II (Q2) & Martin Ohene (King), & Micah Justice, home-cooked soul food, and Jordan sneakers.
