Lenora Easter

Regional Director & Attorney at Law, Partners for Justice

Lenora Easter is an experienced attorney with more than 15 years of comprehensive involvement in the criminal legal field, specializing in litigation management. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance from the University of Central Florida and her Juris Doctorate from Barry University School of Law. 


Lenora began her legal career as and Assistant Public Defender at the Ninth Judicial Public Defenders Office in Orlando, representing thousands of clients in traffic, misdemeanor, and felony cases. After five years, Lenora returned to the Bronx where she joined The Bronx Defenders. There she worked for over eight years advocating for clients in and outside the courtroom and developed The Early Defense Team, an interdisciplinary unit advocating for indigent clients pre-arrest; before their legal issues became legal cases. 


Lenora is currently a Regional Director at Partners for Justice, where she collaborates with Chief Defenders and their offices to transform public defense into a more collaborative practice. She oversees partnering offices in the Northeast, Central, and Mid-Atlantic regions of the country. She has received numerous accolades, including National Black Lawyer’s Top 40 Under 40, Barry University School of Law’s 2021 Distinguished Alumni Social Justice Award, and the 2022 Distinguished Leader award by the New York Law Journal. Most recently, she was recognized in 2023 by Marquis Who’s Who Journal and by SuperLawyers as a 2024 Rising Star.
